Covid-19 Local Authority Sound Files
This table gives access to the sonification of covid-19 case data in each local authority in England (up to 27th November 2020).
The sonifications demonstrate the change in case rates per 100,000 people since March/April 2020. Low notes represent few new cases over 7 days, high notes are high case rates. Sound ranges have been normalised, so that the highest note across all area’s sonifications is set at the highest case rate across the entire dataset (this is 1338 cases per 100,000, seen in Nottingham on the 5th October).
For more information about the process, I’ve written this blogpost.
